STREETSWEEPER+
Parking tickets suck. Especially when you’re limited on parking availability. With
STREETSWEEPER+
never get another parking ticket again because of street sweeping.
Lead UX Designer
I was the Lead UX Designer on the project. As a student once myself, I have fallen victim to pesky parking tickets. Sometimes, time gets the better of you and next thing you know, there’s an $80.00 ticket sitting on your front window. That’s where Street Sweeper+ comes in. By designing an app that allows users to mark locations and set alarms according to local traffic laws, it enables users to ultimately avoid that terrible feeling of having to debate groceries or certain utilities for the month because of a parking ticket.
The Workflow
Working on this project felt naturally to me, because as much as the initial idea was suggested by someone else, I was definitely a participant in the user-base. I started buy making several different designs for the map screen because I knew users would spend a majority of their time on that page. I started with a green and white color scheme but ended up going with a sunset gradient that was much better received by the participants in the usability study.
